Provisionalmente tengo:

In 15' you can fit 45 commercials of 20''

Eugenio Llorente (asker) Jul 19, 2011:
You are right, and very much to the point. Thank you philgoddard
philgoddard Jul 17, 2011:
Everyone Where you have two numbers together, such as "45 20-second spots", or a number comes at the beginning of the sentence (as it does here), the convention is to write the first out in words. So here it should be "Forty-five 20-second spots".
Also, I wouldn't use ' and " - you have to stop reading for a moment to work out that they mean minutes and seconds, which spoils the flow of the text.

45 20 second spots/ads fit in 15 minutes

I don't see any need to use "You" at all, and the industry usage of "spots" could certainly be use, or, if not "ads" could be used, too.

agree Richard Boulter : I'm with Mike, and 'fit' is certainly the best translation here for U.S. audiences, at least.

You can fit 45 20-second spots in 15 minutes.

I would not translate "spot" (brief ad) and would not use ' or " for minutes or seconds in English.

The 15' slot has 45 20-second avails.

The context is selling tv ads. So the correct term is avails.

If you want to be consistent, you could use The 15' slot has 45 20" avails.

But if you prefer 20-second, don't forget the hyphen!Just as you could also use 15-minute slot.

See the link below. Just one a zillion references.

disagree FVS (X) : What on earth is an avail?? Sounds like complete rubbish to me.

I have worked in and for the advertising industry essentially all my life. Had you looked at my profile, you'd have seen I'm specialized in advertising, among other things. Instead of posting insults, why don't you just google it and learn something.
neutral philgoddard : This is not a criticism of you, but the person who wrote that website is in the wrong job - they're semi-literate :-)

In 15' there is room/space for 45 20" commercials/ads/spots

commercials for US
ads for UK

I would say space and spots but it is a question of preference.

disagree Debora Blake : Technically correct, but it doesn't sound professional enough for this specific context.
