I do hereby cancel (and make nugatory) the contract
vs. repudiating unilaterally, namely giving notice of refusing performance and mutual-only or court-ordered rescission.

I hereby rescind and repudiate the contract
No need for the antiquated "I do hereby..." construction
Ans whilst "making nugatory" is doubtless a valid term, I hardly regard it to be accessible English on the world scale

: can a contract be unilaterally rescinded in law?// A predictable response. Problem is that rescission, both in US (Barron's Am. Law Dictionary) & UK law, suggests *both* parties are agreeing to ditching the contract. But I like 'your' repudiation idea.

are we not dealing with Latin America here? I don't think EN law applies there// "terminate and repudiate" perhaps?
