correct translation as these are the options:

Yes, chips and all the things listed are side dishes, i.e. they complement the main course or item. For example, in meat and 2 veg, the veg are the "sides", but they may all apear on the same plate.

@Eileen. I didn't say you never choose my suggestions. What I'm pointing out is that your criteria (a "specialty" level of expertise in the subject field) exclude me, and I have "Does not meet criteria" in red letters on screen, which I find off-putting.

I didn't offer an answer because the asker never chooses my suggestions. I thought she wanted another way of expressing 'side dishes', which incidentally I always imagine on a separate plate.
