In order to study at xxx Language Learning Center , you must first apply for and receive a student visa (Classification F1) in your country. The Office of International Student Services will assist you in this process.
STEP ONE:
You need to acquire the International Student Services information packet. This is available online, via e-mail, or by regular mail. All the paperwork you need is included in this packet. Please contact the International Student Services Office if you have any questions as you are completing the application process.
Fill out the international student application.
* 1. Make sure you include your home country address and (if available) the address you will be residing at during your studies at xxx Language Learning Center . Include your country of birth, country of citizenship, gender and date of birth.
* 2. Indicate your program of study.
* 3. Indicate the purpose of your I-20 certificate (your current status with the Department of Homeland Security of the United States)
a. Initial attendance
b. Change of status applicant
c. Transfer student
d. Reinstatement
If you are currently overseas, you would choose “Initial attendance.” If you are currently in the United States, please indicate which visa you currently possess.
* 4. Please indicate your highest level of education completed.
* 5. Please provide any emergency contact information and sign your application
STEP TWO :
Please refer to the International Student Enrollment Checklist (page one of your packet). Choose the column which best describes your current situation. For example, if you are overseas, refer to the “Initial” column.
Initial:
* Please provide a legible copy of page one of your passport and your passport photo page.
* Please provide Evidence that you or your sponsor have sufficient funds for all educational and living expenses. This is a bank statement of at least $18,000 USD. If the bank statement is in your own name, you can skip #3.
* If the bank statement is from your sponsor he/she must:
a. Complete and sign the Affidavit of Support (included in your packet) if he/she is an American Citizen or Permanent Resident. Or:
b. Complete and sign the xxx Language Learning Center Sponsor’s Personal Affirmation of Financial Responsibility(also in your packet) if they reside overseas.
* Pay the $100 application fee for the Intensive English Program (IEP). This payment may be in the form of a check from a US bank, money order, or by credit card.
* SEVIS FEE (Form I-901). Please refer to the “SEVIS I-901 Fee Payment Instructions” in your information packet. Follow the instructions applicable to your situation.
* Please provide a copy of your high school diploma and transcript in English.
* Please provide a copy of your immunization certificate from your home country (Not required for the Intensive English Program (IEP)). If you cannot obtain this information, you may complete the immunization process free of charge in the United States. Your xxx Language Learning Center admissions representative will explain this process when you arrive in New York.
STEP THREE :
Please mail all of the above materials to the xxx Language Learning Center Campus you will be attending. You can also have a friend or relative in the US bring these materials to xxx Language Learning Center in person.
*Congratulations! You have completed Step Three.
What Happens Now?
As soon as we receive your documents, we will process your application. If your application is complete, we will issue you an Acceptance Letter and Form I-20. These can be mailed to you directly or a relative/friend can pick them up at xxx Language Learning Center and send them to you.
Once you have received your documents, be sure to:
a. Sign and date your I-20.
b. Pay the SEVIS (I-901) Fee of $200.00 USD
When you have completed all of the above, you may make an appointment with your local United States Embassy or Consulate, where you will complete the application process and receive your F1-Student Visa.

1. El extranjero que pretenda entrar en España deberá hacerlo por los puestos habilitados al efecto, hallarse provisto del pasaporte o documento de viaje que acredite su identidad, que se considere válido para tal fin en virtud de convenios internacionales suscritos por España y no estar sujeto a prohibiciones expresas. Asimismo, deberá presentar los documentos que se determinen reglamentariamente que justifiquen el objeto y condiciones de estancia, y acreditar medios de vida suficientes para el tiempo que pretenda permanecer en España, o estar en condiciones de obtener legalmente dichos medios.
Artículo 26. Prohibición de entrada en España:
1. No podrán entrar en España, ni obtener un visado a tal fin, los extranjeros que hayan sido expulsados, mientras dure la prohibición de entrada, así como aquellos que la tengan prohibida por otra causa legalmente establecida o en virtud de convenios internacionales en los que sea parte España.
2. A los extranjeros que no cumplan los requisitos establecidos para la entrada, les será denegada mediante resolución motivada, con información acerca de los recursos que puedan interponer contra ella, plazo para hacerlo y autoridad ante quien deben formalizarlo, y de su derecho a la asistencia letrada, que podrá ser de oficio, y de intérprete, que comenzará en el momento mismo de efectuarse el control en el puesto fronterizo.
Artículo 27. Expedición del visado.
1. El visado se solicitará y expedirá en las Misiones Diplomáticas y Oficinas Consulares de España, y habilitará al extranjero para presentarse en un puesto fronterizo español y solicitar su entrada. Excepcionalmente, los visados de estancia podrán ser solicitados y expedidos en el puesto habilitado para la entrada.
2. Reglamentariamente se establecerá la normativa específica del procedimiento de concesión y expedición de visados, conforme a lo previsto en la disposición adicional undécima de la Ley 30/1992, de 26 de noviembre. En dicho procedimiento podrá requerirse la comparecencia personal del solicitante.
3. El ejercicio de la potestad de otorgamiento o denegación de visados se sujetará a los compromisos internacionales vigentes en la materia y se orientará al cumplimiento de los fines de la política exterior del Reino de España y de otras políticas públicas españolas o de la Unión Europea, como la política de inmigración, la política económica y la de seguridad ciudadana.

Section 27. Visa issuance
1.The visa will be requested and issued in the Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices of Spain, and it will authorize the foreign citizen to go to a Spanish border point and request to enter the country. Exceptionally, short-stay or visitor visas can be requested and issued in the designated site of entry.
2.In accordance with regulations, the specific rules of the procedure of concession and issuance of visas will be applied in accordance with the eleventh additional provision of the 30/1992 of November 26th Law. The appearance of the applicant might be required in this procedure.
3.The execution of the legal authority to grant or deny visas will be subject to the current international agreements in regard to the subject and it will be oriented to fulfill the purposes of the foreign policy of the Kingdom of Spain and of other Spanish public policies or of the European Union, like the immigration policy, the economic policy and the public safety policy.
