My name's Andrew. I provide high-quality Dutch - English translations at an affordable rate.

I've lived in the Netherlands for the past thirty years, but grew up in an English-speaking household and, in addition to thirteen years of education in the Dutch system, spent seven years in English-medium educational environments.

After completing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Eindhoven, I became a humanities (history and philosophy) major at the University College Utrecht. An educational hiatus of four years followed, during which time I worked as a customer service specialist and in health care. In '13, I enrolled into the English Language and Culture: Education and Communication programme at the University of Utrecht, which, after completing a one-year pre-master programme, I completed in the standard two years.

Although having completed this programme qualifies me to work as a first-grade (upper form) English teacher in the Netherlands, I found myself clashing ideologically with many of the rigid beliefs and approaches in Dutch education. As a result, I started my translation business in January '16 and have been working as a freelance translator since.

I specialise in delivering high-quality translations at an affordable rate. Although I am broadly interested, and therefore capable of translating competently in a wide range of areas, the fields of education, health care, psychology, philosophy, history and esotericism are personal preferences.
