The ProZ.com Women in Translation initiative is continuously seeking enthusiastic volunteers—trainers, mentors, advocates, discussion participants, event hosts, among others.

If you would like to join the program as a volunteer and help other women with various needs, including getting started, advancing in their careers, marketing themselves, becoming leaders, finding a work-life balance, mentoring the next generation, planning their finances or even their retirement, or simply be there for them, complete the form and contribute to a supportive community for women in translation.

Assist in planning and hosting virtual meetups, webinars, or panel discussions. This could include coordinating with speakers, managing registrations, or facilitating breakout sessions. For those comfortable with in-person interactions, participants can also help organize local or regional meetups, handling logistics, venue selection, and on-site support.

Content creation

You may contribute by writing articles on topics relevant to women in translation, such as career development, work-life balance, or industry trends. You may also create guides, toolkits, or resource lists that help women in the translation industry navigate their careers more effectively.

Training and educational material development

Participants can develop workshops, webinars, and educational content tailored to women in the translation industry, focusing on key skills, career development, and industry best practices. Additionally, you can curate and maintain a resource library, ensuring accessible educational materials for women at various stages of their careers.

Mentorship and peer support

You can offer mentorship to other women in the industry, sharing experiences, providing advice, and helping them navigate career challenges. Joining the Women in Translation community has no cost. However, resources and tools within the program are exclusively available to ProZ.com members (workshops, training courses, mentoring, marketing opportunities).

While the initiative is specifically designed to support women in the language industry, men are welcome to support the program by promoting it, encouraging participation, or even volunteering as allies in some of its activities. However, core participation and leadership roles are focused on women.
