Hi everyone,
I am trying to organize a two day conference in Salerno on topics which are mostly about memoQ - from basic level to some more advanced features, but also on topics related to translation business practices in general, such as project management, basic accounting, etc.
The topics will be defined soon. There will be presentations and workshops. During the breaks, all participants will be able to taste the local products.

What I was wondering is: if you decided to come, what would be the decisive element for you?
- price (it will be very reasonable, most probably 90 EUR one day/160 EUR for two days)?
- distance from Salerno / accommodation / transport (we will try to negotiate prices for conference visitors with different establishments)?
- topics of the conference (what would you like to hear)?
- organization (presentations/workshop)?
- other (please elaborate)?

Hi Cedomir,
wonderful idea to get memoQ to Italy.
I personally would like to participate on workshops. If you could organize certified memoQ trainers - are there any? - to guide us on how to work better with the tool or to show us some advanced - almost hidden - parts, that would be great.
I heard that the Kevin Lossner just published a book about the tool, maybe a presentation of that?

Io uso MemoQ da diversi anni, e ne insegno l'utilizzo ai miei studenti all'Università di Messina. Però, mi manca la padronanza delle funzioni più avanzate, e mi piacerebbe partecipare proprio per imparare qualcosa su questi aspetti.
Poi, il fatto che la conferenza sarebbe in un luogo relativamente vicino alla Sicilia è un incentivo in più!

Prima di tutto, volevo scusarmi per aver scritto in inglese, ma siccome e' la mia lingua piu' forte, non volevo far brutte figure con l'italiano. Anche la conferenza sara' in inglese. Penso che non ci saranno i problemi.

Ciao! Mi farebbe tanto piacere vederti dalle mie parti. In questi giorni pubblico le date dei corsi così potrai decidere in base alle tue esigenze.
Per quello che riguarda i trainer certificati, l'idea e' buona, ma ho pensato una cosa un po' diversa, cioe' - tenere il costo della conferenza un po' piu' basso (senza compromettere la qualità), in modo da coinvolgere piu' persone e tenere il corso da solo o con l'aiuto di qualche altro professionista.
Il libro di Kevin Lossner l'ho comprato appena e' uscito e penso che sia utile - ogni uno puo' trovare delle cose interessanti. Non e' mia intenzione fare una presentazione del libro (anche se volentieri lo consiglierei), ma gli argomenti trattati sicuramente comprenderanno molti argomenti riportati nel libro. ▲ Collapse

Hi Cedomir,
have tried both viewing the PDF in my browser and downloading it, but my software tells me the file is corrupted in some way. Is there any other way I could see the whole programme?
And could you send me details of prices (hotel/closing dinner)? I'm hoping to come, but probably just for the Sunday session, since I already have and use both MemoQ and TO3000.
