I hardly ever ask for them. Rather it was me entering a blueboard feedback, and they took the opportunity and gave me an entry as well. When I actually ask for such a feedback, I feel like a bit of a nuisance.

...and never will. I don't like to bother clients with these requests. If they are willing to work with me again, they will and that's all that counts. I don't need to show that to anybody else. As a matter of fact, some clients specifically ask in their contract to never reveal I work for them. So I believe I'll never use this WWA. A client spontaneously sent me a positive WWA, though, but I hid it...

Sometimes I tell myself "let's enhance my profile by asking for WWA", but in the end I never dare, I'm so afraid of their reaction or to bother them ...

What is the harm of having a WWA? Why would you not want to show it?

I don't understand why someone would want to hide a WWA, let alone why someone who has done a good job and/or has a good working relationship with an outsourcer be afraid of their reaction to a WWA request.
I've asked all the customers for whom I've completed several projects over a period of several months to provide WWAs. I've never felt I was bothering them and apparently neither have they, as they have all been willing to spare a few minutes of their time.

I've never asked a client for a WWA entry, although I have clients for whom I've worked steadily for many years. I feel that to ask for a WWA would be like fishing for compliments and ... I'd feel abashed if they declined once having been asked.
It's a bit like the famous "Does my bum look big in this?" If someone says "Yes, dear, it does", you feel worse than if you'd never asked.

I usually ask when I'm sure the client is very satisfied and that posting an WWA will be a pleasure for him/her.

I've never asked for them and I do have them hidden, even though some clients have given me very nice WWAs on their own initiative.
Why would you hide a WWA?
My client list is one of my business's most valuable assets and I consider it confidential. It's taken me years to build that list and I'm not going to publish it in whole or in part, which is what the WWA system amounts to.
I see the value of WWA and I'm glad that P r o Z offers it as an option, but it's not something I ever expect to activate.

In a recent forum thread, Enrique, the staff member in charge of WWA, informed us that there are now 10,000 users using WWA with a total of about 25,000 WWA entries. 900+ people have responded to the poll with 43% claiming that they never request WWA entries.
Surely this is not really representative of the number of users requesting or getting WWA feedback.

Using WWA doesn't mean you're actively requesting responses. Some clients will provide them without being asked.
Of the 25,000 WWA entries, I wonder how many are like mine: unsolicited and hidden.

Exactly. So why not use this asset instead of hiding it under your pillow?
