Other Mar 22

The usual ups and downs:

January: excellent
February: so, so
March: good so far, thanks to my minimal rate (a lot of small projects)…

AI is replacing all jobs Mar 22

AI and human translators need not be adversaries. Instead, they can complement each other. As AI continues to evolve, the future likely involves a collaborative landscape where both play essential roles. So, while AI grows, human translators remain indispensable, bridging linguistic gaps and ensuring meaningful communication.

Same Mar 22

Quite the same in terms of adequate earnings in Q1 in the last 3 years, with increasing requests this March.

Feast (so far) Mar 22

I´m happy to say that January, February and first half of March have been very busy - on the other hand, 2023 has been my worst year ever as 2 out of my 3 main sources of work gradually dried up and finding new clients is a long process. So it´s the feast-or-famine situation everyone knows. Learned the hard way.

Like it had been last year Mar 22

Thus far projects come in the same numbers as they did last year. However, it seems like business will pick up shortly, that is, after my Easter vaccation.

Rapidly Mar 22

Really rapidly. It’s walked out of water on its hind legs puffing on a cheroot.

Down and up Mar 22

March is the first month of my fiscal year, and will be up significantly over the previous year and indeed above the average year. On the other hand, February (the final month of the previous fiscal year) looks to have been down slightly, although the final numbers are not yet in. So, as Maria says, the usual ups and downs. I can't see any obvious secular trend.
