Actually, if you read your sentence it is "áreas de Radiodiagnóstico equipadas con......telemando....

I think you'll find ~"by remote control" is correct. See:MTB Europe - Software to perform MRI scans online by remote controlDiagnostic imaging, information technology ... personal computer and operate a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine by remote control has been developed ...

A remote control for what? I think that "remote control" on its own makes little sense in the context.

Not necessarily... it is just as annoying/inconvenient to have to go and press buttons on medical machinery as on a TV

remote switch

Hi Rebecca,

As an alternative to remote control (which I agree with), "remote switch" might work too.

To reply to your second question ("what for?") if would be used for 'firing' the x-ray.

If the text advertises hospital/clinic services, it wouldn't seem to make much of a difference to a patient, but there you go!

See if it looks anything like this one:
http://www.sirona.es/ecomaXL/get_blob.php?name=pb_heliodent_...

They do call it "remote control" on that page. As I said, "switch" would be an alternative.

Good luck!
