Could it be a painting or drawing in a self-standing frame? I've never seen such a thing.

freestanding frame

I prefer "freestanding" to tabetop as it implies you can put it elsewhere other than a table (on a shelf for example)

Could be for pictures, or it could contain a painting... the main point is that it is "tabletop" versus a "wall frame", etc..
