Spanish term

otra ubicación (in this context)

Spanish to English Other IT (Information Technology) Backups
The text is talking about where backup media must be stored.

Am a little unsure whether "otra ubicación" is referring to "another physical location" or "similar location" (as in, similar to a safe).

Here's the context:

"Los soportes que contengan este tipo de información, deberán estar salvaguardados de cualquier amenaza física y ambiental en armarios ignífugos con llave u otra ubicación donde se utilicen controles de acceso físico o lógico que aseguren la confidencialidad y la integridad de la misma"

And my attempt:

"Media containing this type of data must be safeguarded from physical and environmental hazards in a lockable fireproof safe, or similar secure enclosure, with physical or logical access controls in place to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the data."

Do you think "similar secure enclosure" or just "similar enclosure" would be an accurate rendition here?

Thanks in advance.

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Just doing a bit of KudoZ admin this evening, and I reckon your answer was closest to what I eventually went with actually. I just realised there’s a new option to “un-close” a question, so I’ve opted for that and am now awarding points - hooray!! Thank you Lisa and everyone for your help :-) This is what I went with in the end: Full Pragraph: “Las copias de seguridad que guarden Información Restringida, deberán permanecer almacenadas un mínimo de dos años, estando accesibles únicamente por personal correctamente autorizado. Los soportes que contengan este tipo de información, deberán estar salvaguardados de cualquier amenaza física y ambiental en armarios ignífugos con llave u otra ubicación donde se utilicen controles de acceso físico o lógico que aseguren la confidencialidad y la integridad de la misma.” Translation delivered: “Backups containing Restricted Data must be stored for a minimum of two years, and must only be accessed by duly authorised staff. Media containing this type of data must be safeguarded from physical and environmental hazards in a lockable fireproof safe or similar enclosure, with physical or logical access controls in place to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the data.“"

I rather go for "condiciones similares", seems more correct to me and it encloses more options.

another physical location

Para mí esta opción es correcta, ya que se refiere a una ubicación física.

Although in Spanish it does't say "ubicación física" you may add "physical" in the translation to avoid any ambiguity.

Thanks Kevin
agree neilmac : Likely they mean another location, such as a DRC or DPC (Disaster Recovery Centre/Data Protection Centre

I agree neilmac
agree philgoddard : Just another location - it doesn't say "physical" in the Spanish.

You are right but it may be added to avoid ambiguity.

I would leave out any type of adjective (safe, secure, etc.) since, due to the following part of the sentence, I think it would be totally redundant. Why not just keep it simple, as the original text does?
Note from asker:
Well, I don't want to keep it so simple, because I know that is not the case, and I really understand the process, and know it's NOT so clear-cut..
