Italian term

endoaziendali

Italian to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)

Discussion

James (Jim) Davis Sep 14, 2010:
endo = inside, exo = outside The Italian doesn't make a lot of sense. "endo aziendale" would be inside and not "un soggetto esterno" unless it is outside the actual production cycle, but still inside the company, like administration.

Italian financial writers just love "exogeno", while exogenous in English is first and foremost a biological term borrowed by economists, but not much used in finance.

insourcing

insourcing
Hide links within definitionsShow links within definitions DefinitionDelegating a job to someone within a company, as opposed to someone outside of the company (outsourcing). One reason for insourcing to occur is if a company had previously outsourced a certain task, but was no longer satisfied with the work being done on that task, so the company could therefore insource the task and assign it to someone within the company who they believe will do a better job.

Insourcing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaJump to: navigation, search
Insourcing is the opposite of outsourcing; that is insourcing (or contracting in) is often defined as the delegation of operations or jobs from production within a business to an internal (but 'stand-alone') entity that specializes in that operation. Insourcing is a business decision that is often made to maintain control of critical production or competencies. An alternate use of the term implies transferring jobs to within the country where the term is used, either by hiring local subcontractors or building a facility.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Mr Murray (X) : The first piece says 'endo aziendale insourcing' and later goes on in the full document to explain that 'appalto endo aziendale' can also be from outside. Not 'insourced.' 'Insourcing' modifies 'endo aziendale' it's not 'insourcing insourcing.'

insourced labor contracts / insourced contract labor

The practice seems to be about contracting in labor in which the contract person is actually hired by the contracted service provider, but receives direction from the contracting company. I had a client that did just this a few years ago, but unfortunately I don't know the exact term they used, or if they even had a unique term. My offered phrase is a sort of descriptive best guess.

(Corte d'appello Napoli 26/9/2003, Pres. Bonajuto Est. Musella, in Foro it. 2003, parte prima, 2942)"

"A different form of insourcing doesn’t utilize current employees but instead temporarily hires specialists to work onsite at a company. Occasionally these specialists help train employees on specialized equipment or methods, and part of this may also involve the leasing of various types of equipment. Even though the temporary employee comes from outside of the company, the fact that he or she is “brought in” means he can be considered insourced."
