Italian term

Basico

Italian to English Marketing Cosmetics, Beauty spa treatments
Context - marketing brochure promoting spa treatments

Sentence: P. JENTSCHURA: CORPO E ALIMENTAZIONE significa alimentazione salubre e cosmesi basica per il corpo

The term here refers to the chemical composition of certain spa treatments used and I cannot simply translate it as 'basic', which would be construed as being 'simple' or 'cheap'. Does anyone know or have any ideas as to how the term might be translated in layman terms (to consumers). It is a marketing brochure, not a scientific document.

One option is 'alkaline' - but 'alkaline-based cosmetics' or 'alkaline cosmetics' just doesn't convince me.
