a une meilleure prise en main du volant «takes more control of the steering»
étant donné que ce n'est pas tout à fait un terme technique, le choix des mots à utiliser ici dépend fortement de vous. Toutefois je ne pense pas qu'il soit question de tenir plus fermement le volant, à mon sens il s'agirait plus de pouvoir manier plus habilement le volant.
