Memorandum of Attendance
Court Order:
Remand on continuing bail (RCB) to Court 46 on the 7th May, 2008 at 2.00 p.m. for hearing. A Gary Doyle
order was made. It is to be complied with by April 1st 2008.
Proceedings:
As per instructions a hearing date was sought. A Gary Doyle order was made.
Card given to the Client afterwards with the next court date.
Consultation:
Mr Dwyer remembers the incident as follows: He left O’Reilly’s pub after a few pints and crossed the road
to head home. He had “a fair amount of drink on him”. As he was crossing the road, the police car came
round the corner at speed. It had no blue lights on and its headlights were either dipped or off. At the
time he was in the middle of the road and didn’t know which way to go. The garda car swerved around
him and continued. He doesn’t think it stopped. The gardaí later came back and arrested him and brought
him to Store Street.
Personal Details:
He is 19 years old. He lives with both parents ordinarily. He left school at the age of 15. He did not do his
junior cert. After school, he did a FÁS course in mechanics and carpentry. He only finished the carpentry
part of the course. He has no work record to speak of. His phone number is (081) 1111111.
He has no problem with drugs. He admits to having a problem with alcohol. He has attended AA meetings
in the past but does not do so now. He has a lot of previous and has spent a lot of time in custody. His
previous convictions are mainly for public order-type offences as well as one set of road traffic offences in
relation to a motorbike.
