agree BLR : Given the current business climate, I think you are correct. I used to think it meant 'give due value to' (appreciation) but now I suspect it means 'enhancing the value of' (development), to the company, not making them better people (maybe side-effect)

This would be the typical language used in such documents. Just think of what translation agencies write on their websites and in their other corporate communications.

neutral BLR : That's how I always used to view this, but now I suspect it's literally 'enhancing the value', to the company of course, not necessarily to society. Maybe I'm getting cynical in my old age ;o)
