Parcheada (necrosis tumoral)

Spanish to English Other Medical (general)
In another medical report:

Los cortes histológicos corresponden en su totalidad a un nódulo tumoral, parcialmente encapsulado y rodeado por tejidos blandos. El tumor está constituido por células de tamaño intermedio a grande, que se disponen en nidos sólidos, trabéculas y células sueltas, con presencia de necrosis tumoral parcheada y focal "crushing".

Does it mean there are "patches" of necrosis? So, would it be "patched tumoral necrosis"?

I really appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance.

"Piecemeal necrosis"? The expression exists, but seems to be applied to the liver. On the other hand, there is a reference here to "piecemeal necrosis of the tumor cells":

Parchear means to repair.

patches of tumoural necrosis

Un parche = a patch, hence "parchear" = patching, repairing.

So, as I understand it, the patches of necrotic tumour would alternate with the focal points.

However, a Google search turns up zero results for "patched/patches of tumor necrosis", whether we spell it tumor/tumour/tumoral... etc.

patchy pattern

sorry, on a second look my references says "difuso, focal y parcheado"..

so it can't mean "diffuse".
