On this night, as on every other, the sun dropped west behind the Sinai mountains so that darkness slid downhill, gathering speed as it approached the sea. At the Hilton resort, guests shrugged off bikinis in favor of evening dresses and sport coats. The desert wind blew cold at night in October, so the hotel's management drained the seawater pool until morning.

Source text - Hebrew הבוקר נחתו המטוסים הראשונים בנמל התעופה הית'רו שבלונדון. אמש חודשה לראשונה תנועת המטוסים בנמל, לאחר שבריטניה הסירה חלק ממגבלות הטיסה אתמול בלילה, לאחר חמישה ימים שבהם סגרה את המרחב האווירי לחלוטין. גם חברת אל על הודיע אתמול כי היא מחדשת את טיסותיה ללונדון וגרמניה, וחברת בריטיש אירוויז חידשה טיסותיה בין ישראל לבריטניה. הבוקר כבר נחתו בהית'רו שלוש טיסות מישראל.
Translation - English This morning the first plans landed at Heathrow airport in London. Arabic to English: عاطل يختطف طفلاً مصرياً ويطالب بـ250 ألف جنيه فدية
Source text - Arabic في حادثة وصفتها صحيفة "الأهرام" بأنها مثيرة وغريبة على المجتمع المصري، أقدم رجل عاطل عن العمل ويبلغ من العمر 35 عاماً على اختطاف طفل من أمام مسكن أسرته وهو ينتظر سيارة المدرسة.
وطلب الخاطف من والد الطفل دفع فدية مقدارها ربع مليون جنيه لإعادته إلى أسرته وإلا قتله.
وقد بدأت تفاصيل الواقعة المثيرة عندما تلقى والد الطفل كريم حازم حسن (7 سنوات)، المقيم في حي السفارات بمدينة نصر، اتصالاً تليفونياً في السابعة والنصف من صباح أمس الثلاثاء من مجهول يبلغه بأنه اختطف ابنه في أثناء وقوفه أمام منزله بمفرده, وقام بإسماعه صوت ابنه عبر الهاتف, مهدداً بقتله إذا لم يدفع الفدية.
وعلى الفور كثفت أجهزة الأمن جهودها لإنقاذ الطفل وإعادته إلى أسرته, واعتقال الجاني. وقد تم القبض على المتهم بشقته بالحي العاشر, حيث اعترف بأنه كان يسير بالمصادفة بالمنطقة وعندما شاهد الطفل يقف وحيداً في وقت مبكر من الصباح اختمرت في ذهنه فكرة اختطافه.
Translation - English In an incident described by the "Al-Ahram" as interesting an odd to the Egyptian society, an unemployed 35-year-old man kidnapped a boy in front of his family eyes while he was waiting for the school car.
The kidnapper asked the boy's father for a ransom of quarter million LE or he would kill him.
The details of the interesting incident started when the father of the boy Karim Hazem Hassan (7 years old), who lives in the Embassies neighborhood in the city of Nasser, received a phone call at 7:30 am at last Tuesday by an anonymous person who told him that he kidnapped his son while he was standing alone in front of his house, he let him hear his son by phone, and threatened to kill him if he will not pay the ransom.
Immediately the security forces increased its efforts to save the child and bring him back to his family, and arresting the perpetrator. The accused was arrested at his apartment in the Tenth neighborhood, where he admitted walking coincidently in the area while he saw the child standing alone early in the morning, the kidnapping idea came to his mind.
