I made more money as a translator 50 years ago, to me translation has become a low paying job, and a job with little or no thanks, where people do not know or appreciate a good translation, and an industry that is full of opportunists who pawn of poor quality work and run for cover, switch locations and phone numbers before the consumer of a translation realizes he has been had.
