Contrast Enhancement Explanation: Si tratta dell'aumento (o intensificazione) del contrasto visibile nell'immagine dopo la somministrazione del mezzo di contrasto. cerebral edema Explanation: It is possible that this physician has used an English acronym instead of its Italian equivalent. Just an educated guess. Internal bleeding can occur in any part of the brain. Blood may build up in the brain tissues, or in the space between the brain and the membranes that cover it... Blood irritates the brain tissues, causing swelling (cerebral edema). http://www.nytimes.com/health/guides/disease/intracerebral-h... Pathophysiology of cerebral edema at cellular level is complex. Damaged cells swell, injured blood vessels leak and blocked absorption pathways force fluid to enter brain tissues. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4923559/ |
