Bio
I am a native speaker of Czech, with near native proficiency in English and Spanish. I have PhDs in Latin American Studies and Spanish Language and Literature.
Since 1998, I have worked as a translator/interpreter/proofreader for different Czech, Spanish and US companies including Sofitel hotels and Spanish Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic. I have also worked as a proofreader and translator for a subtitling company in Los Angels.
I have taught Spanish at different universities since 2011. In addition to composition, conversation, culture, and literature courses, I have also developed and taught classes in Business and Medical Spanish and a course in Healthcare Interpreting. I supervise student translation projects and interpreting assignments.
I have completed medical interpreting training and I have also taken several courses on translation. I have been interpreting as a volunteer at local clinics.
I have been teaching, tutoring and coaching English, Spanish and Czech language.
