Translation will never be financially 'excellent'
In the first half of 2012 I made more than I used to make in a whole year.

It's a matter of relativity :) | Jul 14, 2012 |
As one learned quote says: Under some circumstances, the mass of a system in general relativity may not even be defined. Hence the answer: don't know. Obviously, it can't be a mainstream answer; one more smiley

or, in normal parlance, a quantum leap beyond what I made in 2011. I was basically out of action for the whole year since I had 3 operations on my hand for a severed tendon and complications. Anyway, I replied "Other" because there was no option "2011 was a sodding writeoff".

It taught me that you don´t get nothing for nothing. Or, actually, that you get nothing for nothing. I was lazy, relying on my "usuals", not doing any marketing to get new contacts, ´cause "how would I fit them in". Geez, I´ve been here 20 years, they will wake up, won´t they? Well, surprise! My usuals apparently went into crisis full time, work was just not coming... untill I woke up and realized that you can never just lean back and wait for the roast chicken to come fly... So I am back on track again with some new clients and some of the old arisen from the dead. A lesson learned. Roast chicken for dinner. Dinny ▲ Collapse
the second half | Jul 14, 2012 |
of 2011 was better. I have had more slow spots in the first half of 2012, even with new clients.

My kids are asking already "Who's that guy that appears around lunchtime and stays over?" Just kidding, but I've been busy and had to struggle to take days off...
