OK, this has been bugging the hell out of me for years, but for some reason, I've never found the answer.
And here's the problem: when you call up "Find and Replace" (CTRL H) in memoQ and enter a term, it automatically assumes you want to search in the SOURCE text as well as the TARGET text.

This makes absolutely no sense at all, as it's not possible to replace words in the source text anyway. Is there any way to change this so it only searches in the target text by default? (I mean without manually changing it in the Advanced Find and Replace window EVERY SINGLE TIME!!) ▲ Collapse

I had the same bone to pick with memoQ, and tried to find a way to create defaults for this. This must have been about five years ago, but I remember that I asked and Kilgray replied that they did not have this possibility. Things could have changed, so I would post a ticket about it in Kilgray's support system. Let us know what you find out! Having default settings in this area would be great.

Miscellaneous > uncheck 'Search in both source and target by default'. Once done, the F&R will search in source only when you put the cursor in source, and in target when you put the cursor in target.
