The < symbol turns into the tag & l t ; (without spaces) after I export a TTX file, which I translated with Transit XV.
Please help!

Chech file format settings. If you go to the Project -> Settings, then to File Type, there in Define...,
navigate to the third tab. There will be a list of settings. Go to the "Character Unicode".
You will need to add an element to the table - > "0x003e" as character and "& l t ;" (without spaces) as String.

I tried all the combinations with "Character Unicode".
The only way the export works is to delete both of them (for ''). But then I can't see them in Transit.
The procedure for those who want to test their Transits:

I don't have TagEditor installed at the moment. Isn't it possible to work around the issue by replacing > and <: with some unique characters in TagEditor first, before translating in Transit?

I have to deliver the file in ttx format, as I received.
But thanks for this workaround - I will try to hack the ttx source code

Perhaps it is time for a migration? There are CAT tool developers that really listen to what you say and respond.

STAR is an "old school" company. And they are from Swiss, where money is god.
I personally don't care about "support". Why to care, if the product is working like a swiss watch?

But I respect it.
I don't have a Pro version of NXT (only a freelance one, that offered one agency I work with), because I don't like it yet, but if I would want to buy one, that would be again quite an exciting adventure. I love old school stuff! ▲ Collapse

I have no idea, why Transit or TagEditor is acting like that.
If only somebody would try the procedure I described, then it would be clear whether it's my fault.

What I can do for you is this:
- Send me a TTX project that I can load in NXT and perhaps in XV and I'll export it for you.
I don't want to invest time in creating a project in TE first ...

I dimly recall I had similar problem a few years ago, possibly even with NXT, but I think it was my error with some settings. But since life is too short for resolving all issues by finding their real causes, I simply searched and replaced the "html code for less than" with the desired symbol in UltraEdit (or was it Notepad ++), and the same for "greater than"... Until I have to work with many files in which the problem occurs i... I followed it and - I have it!
Transit replaces " & l t ; " with " < u t C l a s s = " e n t i t y r e f e r e n c e " D i s p l a y T e x t = " & a m p ; l t ; " > & a m p ; l t ; < / u t > "
so I replaced it again (using Notepad ++ [thanks for recommendation. The file is big but nothing for Notepad ++]).
