Not knowing a whole lot about flanges, what's happening if a flange "hebt ab": lifts, lifts off, raises, disengages, flies off? The following sentence is the very first one in a section of an RFQ entitled "Flanges and screw connections". A hydroturbine runner is probably attached to this flange and the flange is probably on the end of a shaft.

Die Flansche sind so zu bemessen, dass kein Abheben der Flansche und keine Biegebeanspruchung an den Schrauben vorliegen.

Explanation:
oder (plastic) hinge forming, oder vielleicht noch gap formation. Bei genügend großen (resultierenden) Zugkräften verformt sich ein nicht ausreichend dicker Flansch, wodurch auf die Schrauben eine prying force (~ Hebelkraft) ausgeübt wird. Das nennt sich end-plate behaviour.

Das einseitige Kippen des Flansches kann es eigentlich nicht sein, weil man dies durch die Flanschdicke nicht entscheidend beeinflussen kann (denke ich).

Displacement


Explanation:
I am not sure if this will be of any help but in one of my Siemens dictionairies it gives "Anhebung (Verlagerung)" - offset. The "Verlagerung" in brackets then leads, of course, to 'displacement' or 'misalignment'. I doubt if 'offset' would be suitable.
