Bio
Hi,

I'm a Russian-English translator with more than 12 years of intensive experience in various domains, a native English speaker. I am from Dehradun, India.

Language of my post-graduation studies (M.Sc. Informational Systems in Economics and Management) was Russian, so I am almost near native of Russian.

I started my career as a translator when one of my friends requested me to help him out with a government project back in 2001.

Since then I have been involved with many large projects besides freelancing.

Major Translation Projects: T-90 Main Battle Tank, Sukhoi-30 MKII fighter aircraft, upgradation of MiG-29 fighter aircraft.

My fields of expertise technical specifications, GOST standards, engineering drawings, manuals, instructions.


Working areas include but not limited to:

- mechanical engineering;
- oil & gas, mining,
- software;
- aviation, optics, electrical, electronics ;
- power generation and supply;
- railways;

Moreover, I have lots of experience in translating legal and financial texts including Contracts, Audit reports, Financial Statements, Balance sheets, Expert reports, Tender documents, Internal policies, various management systems besides others for major companies in the sector of oil and gas, construction, railways and banks.

I have been associated with Opto Electronics Factory (a major Government of India Enterprise producing advanced Electronic surveillance, navigation and guidance systems for Aircraft, Main Battle Tanks, night vision devices) since the year 2003.

I have a flair for translating medical and pharmaceutical documents also, and I can assure you a very good quality. I have been helping clients in translating complex handwritten medical reports also.

Doing interpretation at various levels (from workshop to international conferences) has helped me in getting to the core of any technology and use the perfect terminology in my translations.


My standard rate is 0.06 USD per source word. Generally, I manage to translate 2500-4000 words per day depending upon the complexity of text.


If required, I can handle much more working 24x7 with an urgency price index.

Recently I have also started working on translation of audio for sub-titling.
