Hi all,

Is it not uncommon for some immigrants (especially Indians and Hispanics) to say "Thank you man", instead of "Thank you sir"? Someone said this at a store today. As this sounds very much like "Thank you, ma'am", this is naturally very off-putting to a guy. Would appreciate any comments. Thanks.
