Does anybody know if there is any free project management software / databases out there for small agencies? I have just had a look at Translation Office Management (TOM) however the prices are too high.
I'm looking for something easy to use which will help me manage projects, clients and translators.

Microsoft Access is a choice

Hi,
If you have intalled MS Office on your desktop you can try Microsoft Access which is designed for small business. It allows you to create your own database using its Wizard.

Thanks.
I am currently using a self-made project management database made in MS Access 2000. Nonetheless, I am after something which does everything such as invoicing etc... I ain't got that kind of knowledge to create such a database in MS Access

MS Project XP or 2003, but if you're doing & managing a lot of concurrent projects
Oct 27, 2004
Greetings.
You might consider getting MS Project XP or 2003, but only if you're doing and managing a lot of concurrent (and administratively-complex) projects.
MS Project otherwise is overbuilt and saturated with features.
MS Access should suffice once you get accustomed to using it.
I think several project-tracking programs that were designed specifically for translators / small businesses have recently appeared.
